The Tribe of Gad meaning  "Luck"  was Jacob's seventh son, born to Leah's handmaid Zilpah. Leah would choose this because of Gods "good fortune" to her for another son. They would become mostly a warring tribe that would protect Israels borders, located on the East side of the Jordan River. Although just one of many theories, rabbinic literature places the great prophet Elijah as a Gadite.

Easy on the waistline!

Knocks Reuben off the top spot for my favorite out of the series. This is not the original fruit loops of the past. That one could make someone who never ate that cereal before run out and buy a box. GAD is a touch of fruit loops - and is easier on the waistline as it doesn't make me want to eat the cereal. The sweet fruitiness falls away to reveal a pleasant vanilla that stays to provide whiffs of goodness throughout the day. Your nose will know - just try it - you'll like it!
